My dog is very anti-social among other dogs?
My 3 year old maltese silky cross, is very anti-social with other dogs. Whenever i walk her, she growls at EVERY dog. I’m too afraid to let her off the lead at the beach as she runs off and gets in fights with other dogs, her size and BIGGER!! What can i do to prevent this anti-social behaviour?
Get the ‘gentle leader’ head harness’ and take her for walks. Every time another dog approaches, give a vocal signal such as, ‘tsk-tsk’ and give her a tiny treat, such as a piece of cat kibble. Be consistent, every time you see another dog. After a few walks she will look to you as soon as she sees a dog. Keep giving her lots of praise and tiny treats. Ignore her if she growls or snaps.
